Following is a guest blog post I was invited to produce:

First I want to thank Atasha for her invitation to bring you this guest blog, and to say something important; while I teach awareness of past lives and the psychology of both past and present, Atasha Fyfe and people like her advance the detailed knowledge of Reincarnation in an individual way. Without the evidence from Dr Ian Stevenson and the Michael Newton Institute, and the daily practice of people like Atasha the insights I have to offer could not be grounded in fact.

As I see it, what besets the modern age is that fear and smallness cause us to lose sight of the truth. If we begin to see the majestic procession of any individual’s existence through countless lives we begin to see the true grandeur of the Human spirit. The littleness of work targets and daily concerns, and the micro-managing fears of the 21st century, are put into perspective. In the first half of the 20th century this perspective came from the man-made hell of the two World Wars; now, in the West, we have much less to remind us.

Certain theological fears are easily defeated by knowledge of past lives. Perhaps the greatest of these is fear of Hell, preached in so many religions. The vast amount of work by the Michael Newton Institute on life between lives, as well as many others, and your own experience if you care to look at it, reveals ‘Hell’ is a purely human concept with no counterpart in Creation. While there is no Hell, certainly there are ‘boards of judgement’ which can be called to help and advise and which follow the ending of any life; but these are not called to condemn. Indeed, I called such a board when at a cross-roads in my present life, the board members were considerate and kind, with their awesome power to change Possibility came gentleness: it is so with the reviews that follow all lives, the only thing which cannot endure through such a board is untruth.

One recent issue addressed in my Blogtalkradio show, Reincarnation the Secrets of Past Lives, is that of Denial. Unfortunately, the human mind is preoccupied by justice and self-justification, that we at least be seen to be in the right, be seen to be ‘good’ and living within the rules. What even a slight knowledge of Reincarnation tells you is that none of this matters; what does matter, the only thing which matters, is Love. It is love which binds soul groups together, determines what will happen in your life, and which defines Reality. Unfortunately, sustaining our good opinion of ourselves, the rightness of our beliefs and the rightness of the World, obscures a great deal of Love. Love becomes conditional on others conforming to our idea of ‘Right’ and this is a contradiction to true love. Further, it requires a rather high degree of self-deception.

It is ironic really, the one trait which is truly damaging to us, which Spirit and boards of judgement really care about, is deception and especially self-deception. Living truthfully is what the ancient Egyptians described as living within ‘Maat,’it was their idea of justice and it is incredibly difficult to achieve within a modern society. It is actually quite likely you have experienced life in ancient Egypt; if you have, exploring such lives would be an excellent starting point for a voyage of self-discovery.

As a teacher of Psychology I am distressed at how error and misconception are taught in the classroom, particularly about Stress. Most people today suffer stress, it is the state of being torn in two opposite directions; the worst stress is between the truth our essential being inescapably knows and the deceptions we accept from others and those we, consciously and un-consciously, practice ourselves. To live in this state is to proceed from mid-air to mid-air, never touching the true nature of ourselves or the World and offering no chance for soul growth.

So, why study Reincarnation and our past lives? To dispel fears, including the fear of death and what may follow it, to regain a sense of proportion and our own true value, and to learn who and what we really are; to lift our eyes from the ground just in front of our own corporeal feet.

With best wishes, Mike Voyce
